Toys for Tots
What a day we had! We started out having a Holiday Brunch at The Oaks Golf Links in Somersworth, NH. I have to say, the brunch was fantastic! I thought the omelette station was awesome, but ALL of the food was delicious.
Sixty seven members showed up at the breakfast this morning, and everyone brought at least one toy with them to donate. We donated over 100 toys to Toys for Tots! After we ate, we took some time to admire the cars in the parking lot. After that, many of us drove togetheras a group to Newington, NH so we could drop off the toys at the Crossings at Fox Run. What a site we were, close to 15 Corvettes in a row, headed down the highway. Toys for Tots was officially approved as an activity of the U.S. Marine Corps in 1995. Their objective is to help less fortunate children experience the joy of Christmas and to deliver a message of Hope to them and to their families.
